The House has been looking to bring in a middle-distance family for the last couple of years, not only for commercial purposes, but to help us score in the shorter Nationals. These birds will be tested by our two partnerships of Team Luscombe & Wright of Cornwall and Team Wicker & Wright of Bolton. We have the quality for the long to extreme distance races but needed a middle-distance family. We have been watching the results of the Frans Zwols pigeons over the last couple of years and if I tell the truth the results have been amazing, so we decided to expand The House with this family. It must be fate as I had a phone call from my good friend Perry Liddle informing me that Frank Brownley of Border Lofts was selling his entire stud of direct Frans Zwols. After a quick phone call with Frank, the deal was done, except for two or three birds, we purchased the entire stud of 32 directs and 52, 2019 summer-bred latebreds. A few more additions from other sources brings our total of direct Frans Zwols to over 40, we are well pleased. In 2022 we will be offering to the fancy young birds bred direct off the Frans Zwols, price £150 each. Also available will be young birds for racing at £50 each or £300 for 6.
